Hey everyone!
If anyone ever tells you that they Typhoid oral pills won't give you any side affects they are wrong, in fact, they are probably lying straight to your face. Don't believe them. I had to take four. I know. I'm just glad it's over. I was very nauseous, and I got some really bad headaches. But it's over now and I don't have to take any more for the next 4 years!!!
Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! I had a great day! It was fast Sunday here at the MTC! I actually bore my testimony in Sacrament Meeting, although I did do it in English. And, Hermana Habel was asked to say the prayer at the Fireside on Sunday, so I got to sit on the stand on my Birthday, and I didn't even have to say a thing! After all the normal Sunday stuff, the hermanas in my district and I had a fiesta! Things go a little crazy! Pictures will be there soon..after I get them developed. And!! Hermana Habel and I are going out to eat for my birthday!! Okay fine, we are going to the temple cafeteria, but still, it's going out for us. And we are really excited about it!
Some of the elders, both in my district and my zone have been having a bit of a hard time. They are so strong though. One of the Elders in my district, Elder Proctor has been have some trouble with his heard, and he had to go to the hospital so they could put a monitor on for 24 hours. int he space of the 24 hours, he had 3 minor heart attacks. They have found out that he has a hole in his heart and that one of the ventricles shuts down multiple times a day. Right now his chances of going to Argentina are pretty slim, but he is still hopeful. Please keep him in your prayers.
I really do love my district, they have become a second family. I have been amazed at how close we have become in such a short amount of time. I really do have 6 more brothers, and 3 more sisters. I love them so much, and I am so impressed by their knowledge of the gospel, and the atonement. They have all sacrificed so much to serve the Lord, I hope that I can measure up to the sort of missionaries that they will be and that they already are.
I am not a fan of the weather we have been having lately. All I want is some spring before I go down to the frozen tundra that will be Argentina! The tulips are so close to coming out and I want them to bloom so bad! They are my favorites!
How is Brother Allison doing? Is there anything that you can think of that I can do to help him? Mom, how are your meds treating you now? Any better?
Are you going to go to Temple Square for General Conference? I have heard that the in-between-the-sessions documentary will be on the MTC, because it's been open for like 50 years or something. We've had a crazy amount of camera crews around!
I did have a little bit of a casualty this week. I opened a door on my foot and I am losing the toenail. Not really a big deal, but it's a little annoying.
This week was great. I feel as if I am improving ever so slightly in my Spanish, and that feels really good. Next week we teach our first lesson in todo Epanol. So that may change my mind. We'll see. Hermana Habel is great, although, she hasn't heard much from her family this week and that has been hard on her. She heard last week that her dad may have cancer, and hasn't heard from them since. She did say that her email had some good nes though, so keep her and her family in your prayers as well, please.
I love my trips to the temple, and we are getting ready to leave right now! I love you all so much! Thank you for your support! Feel free to ask whatever questions you have!
Love, Hermana Orton
Oh, also, I did get to say goodbye to Miriam. It was mildly surreal. It doesn't really fell like she is gone. I am sure that it will sink in at some point though. I don't think it felt very real to her either. I think she said she was planning on calling you today, so make sure you answer your phone! Tell Christy that I miss her and that I love her! I WILL get her a letter soon! I am so proud of her! Tell Zac and Holly I said good luck!
