Dear Mom and Dad,
Haha. Do you feel old knowing that you have a daughter that is going to be 23 tomorrow. I don´t feel old turning 23, but I do feel old knowing that next week Summer is going to be turning 13!! How crazy is that! Mom, dont´lose all faith in the Argentine mail system. Remember, we´ve reached our quota in lost packages. :)
I am super excited for Holly and Zac! That is so great! It looks like you are in for a busy summer again. But then, when have they not been super busy?
This week was really good. We had a couple of disappointing days, but overall the week was great! Things here in Mar del Plata are really getting better and I am really really really hoping that I stay for another transfer!!! I am having a really good time working with Hna Vawdrey!
I am glad that Dance Tour went so well!! It sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe next year I can go on a tour with someone as a chaperon! That would be really fun.
Well, this week we found a family! It was really exciting. They are the father and twin sisters of a recent convert. They have a pretty complicated family life, so its taken a while to track them down and be able to teach them, but they are great! The dads name is Daniel, and the daughters are Valentina and Martina. The son is 15 and his name is Rodrigo. They are great. Due to work circumstances, we were only able to teach them once last week, but we are going to try to see them tonight, and get something set up for this week!!!
We finally have progressing investigators!!! One´s name is Mayra Villacorta. She is 12 and super cute! She has come to church twice now, and she should be getting baptized on the 14ht of April! She really is so great! She is also a little hard to see, and at first she didnt´talk at all, but now we can hardly get her to stop talking and listen to the lessons! The good news is that she feels comfortable, and that she really enjoys coming to church.
Our other progressing investigators name is Brian Roberto. He is the brother and son of some members. They also have a bastante complicated story, and we are so excited to finally be able to teach Brian. He has kind of talked to the missionaries before, but we are excited to be able to teach him. I hope that we can help him really understand the importance of everything: The good news with him is that he wants to recieve an answer, and that he has a really big support system. That is so critical.
Yesterday was probably the first Sunday that we have had this transfer without some major drama. It was a very nice Sunday. The ward mission team went to the Primary to present the ward mission plan and it was so much fun. I love the Primary. It was really cute to see Hno Valente, our ward mission leader teach the little kids about sharing the gospel and showing them the ways that they are important to the Lord. It was really fun. And, there was a miracle at church. All of our ward missionaries were at church. It was the first time that we were all together. I am going to send a picture. Igual, in the picture we aren´t all there, since two of them left before we took the picture. But its close.
We try to do divisions at least once a week, and we always do them on Wednesday. We normally have a decent amount of lessons planned up, but there is always always down time where we just try to contact and knock doors with our ward missionaries. One of the girls who normally went with us, couldn´t go, and so we asked one of the Laurels to go with us, and she said yes. But, right before (literally, 15 minutes before we were going to pick her up) she sent us a text saying that she couldn´t go with us. And no one else could go with us on such short notice. So it was Hna Vawdrey, Noelia, and I running around to all of the lessons that we had set, trying to do work for two companionships with just one. So it didn´t end up quite like we had hoped, but it still ended up being alright.
Okay here are some pictrues from today. Actually the first ones are from yesterday. The first one is the ward mission team, and the second one is the misioneras!!!
The ones from today. To celebrate my birthday we went to McDonalds with Noelia! Haha. It actually wasn´t bad. And I bought myself a super cute bag for my birthday. (Thats how you know your getting old, when you start buying yourself things "for your birthday". I forgot to take a picture of it to send to you. But you, my dear sisters, will be jealous.
Okay, I have to go. Thank you so much for all of your birthday letters and wishes! I love you!!!
Corinne
