September 19, 2011- Letter

Dear Mom and Dad,

And Carrie Rawlins, I KNOW THE FIABANE¨S!!!! They mando saludos! And, Lily Fiabane (espose) has Face, so she can totally look her up! I LOVE the flia Fiabane! They are so awesome!!! I also know the Flia Scholles, but now Punta Alta is two wards, and Flia Scholles is in the other ward. I don´t think I know any of the other people.

Okay, back to business. A Funny Story About How There Was a Bat in My Apartment. Part Two. But before we get into part two, lets finish part one. It ends when our next door neighbor comes over, and helps us remove the bat with a broom. And then beats the bat with the broom. One part funny, one part sad ( I didn´t want to hurt the bat) and one part pathetic that we couldn´t remove the bat ourselves. It just clung to the broom, there really weren´t any problems once it decided to sleep upside down on our wall.

Part Two. We found where the bat entered, and closed that opening to the ceiling off. Thank goodness it was in the bedroom that we don´t use. We cleaned up the bat poop (there was more than I wanted to see), and thought that was the end of it. Well it wasn´t the end of it. We started to hear funny things at night. And there was still bat poop in the room. ALOT. So on Thursday, while we were doing our daily planning, Cristian came over to measure some things that he is going to fix en casa. We had him check the room where we had the pile of bat poop. (Okay, a little bit of background, all of the windows here have a curtain on the outside of the house that you can raise and lower from the inside of the house, and usually there is a place right above the window inside where someone cut into the window so they could put the curtain in, they are relatively new here). So Cristian removed this little section of ceiling, and a giant amount of bat poop fell down. And Cristian said that he saw a lot of bats.

We have a family reunion of bats going on in the space between the ceiling and the roof. Needless to say this has not been the best sleep I´ve ever gotten. We have talked with our landlord and he is going to talk to a vet, and will becoming to our apartment tonight to let us know what he is going to do. We are now waiting on Part Three of the story. I hope it is a happy ending.

This week was so much better! We almost met our goal for new investigators! (We have a mission norma of 15, we found 13). And we have high hopes for them! We are also planning on having the baptisms of Maxi and Rodri on September 30! They are starting to get excited, and so are we! And, this week Cristian recieved the Aaronic Priesthood! AHH!!! How exciting! It is so wonderful to see the Gospel bless lives, and especially to see what can happen when a family recieves the Priesthood in their lives for the first time! It is a miracle indeed!

In regard to the flea collars, I´ll let you know if I need more or those trap things, but right now it is just a precaution. One that I am very sad that I have to make, but hey. Better safe than sorry. Especially when it comes to fleas. (UGH!)    (Mom's note - in a previous note Corinne requested that I send her some flea collars.  There are many, many stray dogs and animals roaming around and it is not uncommon to get fleas in your houses etc.  The missionaries put the flea collars on their bed posts to keep the fleas out of their beds - gross, I know)

YEAH GRANDMA! That is so cool! I am glad she got to do something she always wanted to do! That sounds like so much fun. And I am super glad that she gets to go on this trip with her sisters. That is way cool. She is going to have so much fun! They are going to Maine, anywhere else?

Hang in there Zac, seriously, Junior year is the hardest. If you can make it through this year (and it is ovbvious that you can. If I could do it, you can. You are so much smarter than I am.) you  can make it through anything. Especially if you make it through Mr Smiths AP US History class. I loved that class, but it was rough. Oh hey, tell Mr Smith that I say hi. He was probably one of the hardest teachers that I had, but he was also one of my favorite.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOLLY! I thought about you all day. I am glad to hear that you had a good day! I was praying that you would. It is so weird to thinkt hat oyu are 15. I still remember when you were born. Dad wasn´t home, and mom had loaded us all in the truck to go to the hospital without him. We stuck a note on the door so he would see it when he got home. Well he pulled in right as we were getting ready to pull out. It was two days after we finished moving into the little blue house. Haha. Poor mom. That story still makes me laugh. But then you came! And it was awesome!

Summer, I am glad to hear that things are still going good! How are you liking Dixon? I got your letter, and I hope that you are feeling better. Oh hey, what is your email? I don´t have it, and I want to write you an email all your own! So if you send me your address, I will write you! I sure love you!

Kami, I just sent your email. But I still love you!!!

Dad, how was the Moose hunt? Did you go on horse back, or just walking around? Did you see any mooses? Is mooses the correct term? Was it scary? The only time I ever saw a Moose I thought I was going to die. As did all the YW with me. Thank goodness for Mykensie DeWolf who kept us all calm. Haha. How are things at work?

Mom, how are things with your health? Isnt it almost time for your montly DR trip? Or did you already go and not tell me? How are they YW? There is a package on its way home, with a bunch of letters, and one for the YW. I hope that they are doing well. I think of them often.

How are Cristy Powell and Pedro Ortega? Tell them I say hi and that I love them!

Well, I think thats about it for this week! I sure love you!!!

Corinne
